Volunteer to Provide One-on-One Assistance
Are you 55 or older and looking to give a few hours or more a month to help individuals one-on-one? Consider these options. As an RSVP Volunteer, you will receive training, ongoing support and supplemental insurance while actively volunteering.
The Money Management program
This program will match you with low to moderate-income older adults, veterans or individuals with disabilities who need help keeping up with their primary bills. As a “Bill Payer” volunteer, you can provide the assistance they need to organize and maintain financial records, establish a budget, complete checks and balance checkbooks. These activities enable these individuals to continue to live independently.
Benefits Checkup Program Volunteer
There are many benefit programs that would help older adults, individuals with disabilities and veterans pay for medications, health care, food, utilities and more. You can help them tap into these benefits by meeting with an individual one-on-one and using an easy computer system to find the benefits the individual is eligible for.
RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
