Oral Health Care – Facts You Need to Know Seminars held in New Haven

The City of New Haven held two Oral Health Care – Facts You Need to Know Seminars in New Haven during the month of September. Funding was made possible through a Title III grant from the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut.

The first session was held at the Atwater Senior Center and the second was held at the Dixwell /Newhallville Senior Center. Valuable information was provided by many speakers: including Mayor Toni Harp, Dr. Stephen Stanley (dentist with private practice in Hamden), Kathy Nugent, Director for Regional Programs, CancerCare, and Dr. Ronald Birmingham,  Dental Director, Fair Haven CHC Dental Clinic. AOASCC staff were also on hand to provide information about resources in the community.

This partnership between the City of New Haven and Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut is the first of many planned for the future. The valuable  collaboration between the two organizations should effectively reach the many older adults and persons with disabilities in the New Haven community.
