Volunteer through RSVP
An hour of your time could mean the world to someone.
RSVP is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.
Adults 55 and older who want the chance to share their wisdom have many different types of opportunities through RSVP.
- Act as a friendly visitor and give seniors social companionship and access to the community.
- Become a Money Manager and assist others with organizing their monthly bills and following a budget.
- Tutor children so that they can gain necessary literacy skills.
- Provide additional support to community organizations and non-profits.
RSVP is part of Senior Corps, which connects today’s 55+ with the people and organizations that need them most. Volunteers receive guidance and training so they can make a contribution that suits their talents, interests, and availability.
Conceived during John F. Kennedy's presidency, Senior Corps currently links more than 270,000 Americans to service opportunities. Their contributions of skills, knowledge, and experience make a real difference to individuals, nonprofits, and faith-based and other community organizations throughout the United States.
RSVP is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
