On September 29th, three veterans from the RSVP Veteran Pen Pal Program spoke to a group of 8th grade students about their military experiences. The students are part of the “Mule Team” at a local middle school. They are participating in a project where they will correspond with a veteran through handwritten letters for the duration of the school year. The students were amazed to learn that many of the teachers and even their principal are also veterans!
